Fabulous Friday!

Since finishing the Seahawks blanket for my nephew I've been kinda burnt out on single crochet 13,468 will do that, ya know. I have been peeking at this pattern on ravelry.com for a while now and finally decided to go for it. This purse is called "Get Your Granny On" and the pattern can be found here.

I made a couple changes and made my squares bigger then the ones she did and I made the strap long enough so the purse can be worn like a messenger bag. I chose this red button that's older then me, I might add from my Granny's small stash in her sewing kit. Gives the purse a vintage feel doesn't it? And, by using this button I feel like I have her with me.

Ok, enough babble... here are the pics!

Well?? What do you think?

  1. I love this bag. I was going to try it out once and then wondered if the dip in the middle was too low....but you could put a little panel in there. You will not know until you try it. I really like it.

  3. Clara, I thinkg the dip in the middle is all based on how big your squares are. Mine is a deep "v" but the purse is also deep enough that its ok. Also, I lined the inside with an old t-shirt.
